Notes on classes of Daffodils
Division 1. Trumpet Daffodils.
One flower to a stem; Corona ("trumpet") as long as, or longer than the perianth segments ("petals")
Division 2. Large-cupped Daffodils
One flower to a stem; Corona ("trumpet" )more than one-third but less than equal to the length of the
perianth segments ("petals")
Division 3. Small-cupped Daffodils.
One flower to a stem; Corona ("trumpet") not more than one-third the length of the perianth segments.
Division 4. Double Daffodils.
One or more flowers to a stem with doubling of the perianth segments, or the corona, or both.
Division 5. Triandrus Daffodils of Garden Origin
Characteristics of N. Trimdrus clearly evident; usually two or more pendent flowers to a stem:
perianth segments reflexed.
Division 6. Cyclamineus Daffodils of Garden Origin
Characteristics of N. Cyclamineus clearly evident; usually one flower to a stem; perianth segments reflexed; flower at an acute angle to the stem, with a very short pedioel (“neck")

Recipes
Chocolate Cake Recipe
6 ozs Plain Flour
2 Tablespoons cocoa
l Teaspoon bi·carb (not generous)
l Teaspoon baking Powder (generous)
2 Tablespoons syrup
2 Eggs
1/4 pint Corn Oil
1/4 pint Milk
5 ozs Caster Sugar
Sift flour, cocoa, bi·carb, & baking powder in a bowl. Add sugar. Mix with eggs, oil and milk. Beat into dry ingredients. Pour into greased and lined 8”
sandwich tins. Bake for 25-30 minutes in 140 degrees C fan oven. Sandwich together with chocolate cream
Shortbread Recipe
6 ozs Plain flour
3 os Caster sugar
6 ozs Butter at room temperature
3 075 line Semolina
Pre-heat oven to 150 degrees C
Oblong tin l l" x 7" lightly greased
Warm mixing bowl slightly (not hot) then add all the ingredients and beat with a wooden spoon till thoroughly blended. No need to add any liquid. Transfer dough to a lightly sugared flat surface. Roll it out to a rectangle to fit the tin. Press out evenly and prick all over with a fork and bake slowly for 1 hour. Cool for 10minutes. Cut mixture into fingers and cool them on a wire rack before storing in a tin.
